In Boston Nominee Trust v. Friends of the State Theatre, No. 19-ADSP-20SO, Attorney Mangones successfully argued that the lower court improperly extended time for the defendant to file an appeal of a judgment for possession in favor of the landlord. A panel Appellate Division justices reversed the trial court and struck the defendant’s appeal. As a result, and execution was allowed to issue and the landlord regained possession of the property. #commercial leases; #real estate law, #evictions.
